Could African American children who are demonstrating low academic proficiency in schools across America, be rebelling against indoctrinated methods of teaching?
When we closely examine the history of education for African Americans during the time of slavery, they were not allowed to read or write for fear of death. When the native Americans lost their land during the conquest of Europeans, their children were taken away and placed in mission boarding schools and forced to accepted a new language, culture and education system. The same can be said for the native people of Australia, where families and children were hunted like animals and killed for bounty.
In the lower grades of children in America, they are taught the history of slavery. How African people were taken from their homeland, bought, tortured and sold like cattle to the highest bidder. They learn, unknowingly, through psychological conditioning, that whites have no human value of their worth. So the question is: Are African American children psychologically fighting against being indoctrinated (educated) with Western values that are against their human nature for survival ?
