Today...there is no trouble in finding the corner store that is packed with the cookies, the candy, the pop etc...but how many neighborhood stores are there that offer a healthy alternative for you and your family to eat? You might do better looking for a needle in a haystack. Processed People is a great documentary that addresses the need for change of what we eat in America. What we eat has become a great mystery...you never are really sure what is the "secret" ingredient. Have you look lately at some of the labels on foods. I have...it is time for a change
This is a really good point. I've noticed that even 7-11 stores in different areas offer varied degrees of healthy alternatives. But I also recognize that the unhealthy stuff is less expensive meaning that lower to mid income persons will buy that...and a store won't waste it's time and sacrifice profit to carry healthy items if only a handful of ppl will buy them.
