
WASHINGTON (January 11, 2013) – Mayor of Atlanta Kasim Reed will participate in a panel discussion on the Obama Presidency at Howard University in the Blackburn Center Ballroom, Friday, Jan. 18 at 9 a.m.
The panel, titled, “Looking Back, Looking Ahead: The Legacy of President Obama” is part of a series of Howard University events marking the 2013 Inauguration of President Barack Obama. Other participants include: Michael Grant, president of the National Bankers Association; Dr. Greg Carr, Howard University associate professor and chair of Africana Studies; and Stefanie Brown James, a member of the 2013 Presidential Inauguration Committee.
The panel will be moderated by Wilmer Leon, political scientist and nationally syndicated radio and TV talk show host. The panelists will discuss the African-American political agenda, finance and banking industry reform, immigration, health care reforms and other topics.
