Cause for Celebration (2563 hits)

The people of Columbus came out yesterday to attend the unveiling of the Long Street Bridge. The highlight of this new Bridge that links the King and Lincoln district to downtown is the Wall.

The wall is over 200 ft long, and 60 feet high. There are over 100 leaders displayed on the wall. The bridge cost over 7 million dollars to construct. My role model and father William "Bill" Moss is one of the honorees featured on the wall.

His commitment to education, children, the arts, justice, and community makes him a man to behold. Growing up with him as a father was an adventure. The strongest attribute that I remember of him is that he was always willing to help others, mostly children.

I get my knack from Customer Service from all the calls I answered as a child of people wanting to connect with him all hours of the day. He had high standards and great morals. He filtered the content that came in his house via music, t.v., and people. He instilled a will to be safe, spiritual and a active family man in his children and the children of the community.
He protected the streets and stood up when he saw foolishness taking place around him and his family.

We are thankful to the decision makers that selected Mr. Moss to be honored.

His legacy lives.
Long live a King!
