Homework: This assignment will allow us to align our minds with the mind of God and His servants as the source-points that will aid us in our viewpoint of the understanding of marriage.

Part One
Use a good dictionary (not a small pocket dictionary or thesaurus). Locate the definition that applies to the context. Be sure to read the other definitions for understanding. Locate the derivation of the word as to become familiar with its original source as this helps with the original definition of the word.
Define the following words, according to Quran, Bible, Hadith, THEM, and THMLF. From these sources, write your viewpoint of the definition.

1. Purpose
2. Marriage
3. Husband
4. Wife

Part Two
Read 1Corinthians 11:3. Define the words and write your viewpoint.
Read Surah 33:35. Define the following:
1. Submit
2. Believing
3. Obeying
4. Truthful
5. Patient
6. Humble
7. Charitable
8. Fasting
9. Chaste/chastity
10. Remember
11. Forgive
12. Reward

Be able to answer this question, "What is God's purpose for marriage?"
After defining the words marriage, husband and wife, go to the index of the Holy Quran, locate each word and read the verses of each of the Surahs associated with each word.
