The amount of calories necessary to sustain vital functions and carry out everyday activities is known as the metabolic rate or simply metabolism. This is the most important component of weight loss, weight gain and long-term weight management.
In order to lose weight you must create daily deficits between the number of calories you consume and the amount you burn. If you're one with the ever so unique goal of gaining weight, you'll have to create calorie surpluses each day by taking in more calories than you burn. For long-term weight management, you must balance the number of calories you consume with the calories you burn, indefinitely.
