What does HR 2646 do?
•Strengthens community crisis response systems
•Supports the mental health workforce so more tranined professionals are available to help
•Combats suicide in our schools and communities
•Promotes early intervention
•Helps support integration of health and mental health care
•Helps support evidence-based and promising practices so people get effective mental health and substance use services and supports
•Clarifies health privacy laws so mental health professionals, families and individuals know their rights
•Increases reporting on mental health parity
