Black Health Magazine: Premiere Newsstands Launch Nationwide November 2008 (2186 hits)


Curtis' Executive Vice President, Circulation, Dennis F. Porti has announced that Curtis Circulation Company, LLC will launch BLACK HEALTH (01124) nationally and internationally, published by Household Publishing & Enterprises, Inc. on November 4, 2008.

Black Health Magazine, a bimonthly healthy living publication, strives to empower African Americans with the information they need to make holistic, healthy lifestyle choices. While medical healthcare is one of the primary concerns of Black Health Magazine, the publication also addresses the physical, nutritional, beauty, financial, emotional and mental care of its readers.

The premier newsstand issue of Black Health Magazine will go on-sale both nationally and internationally November 4, 2008 (December's issue). This issue features the recording artists Mary, Mary's balance between work, family, entertainment, beauty and health.

The December 2008 issue also features articles on nutrition, glamour, emotional health, healthy living, fitness and a host of other health related issues that are unique to the African American community.

"This is a remarkable moment in the history of our company," said Marcus Oaks, Publisher and CEO. "We believed in the concept, we struggled in its infancy stage, we endured the hardships of bringing it to the forefront and now we rejoice in its accomplishments."

Black Health Magazine will be available on newsstands nationally and internationally in 11 countries on November 4, 2008. Per issue cost is $3.99. Yearly subscription costs are $18.00 plus tax and can be purchased online at www.blackhealthmag.com
