Create The Fitness Success You Deserve
As we move closer to 2009 I want to help you create Fitness Success.
I know that many of us have friends and relatives that have time and time
again put together the following intentions; I will lose weight and take better care of myself this year. I will stop eating so much junk this year and drink more water.
I will fix healthier meals for my family this year. This is just a few of what your friends and relatives have said in 2008.
Well, a new year is coming baby and we don't want them to go insane based on a promised unfulfilled. Let me back up and explain what insanity really means. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Now is not the time to just say something, it's time to take action.
In 2007 I took action to help all of the people who talk about losing weight and feeling great by creating The Mental Hurdle of Fitness Success System. When I created this program the standard comment was, "Brian, this is really what I needed to help me focus on my success!" As a fitness trainer and coach I know this to be true.
If you do not mentally plan for fitness success, it will not happen! Do I need to repeat that? If you do not MENTALLY plan for fitness success it will not happen!
Today, let me start off by giving you one of the biggest mental hurdles that knocked down the person who starting ofF 2008 by saying I am going to lose this weight this year. This is Fitness Success Principle number ONE, (Identify The Why)
Your why is the motivational driving factor in your transition to success. You can't just say you are going to lose weight, eat healthier, fix better meals, it has to be attached to something bigger than the words. Let me give you an example of a good why. A man has a family history of heart disease. His mother and father both died of a heart attack at an early age. His sister just had a massive stroke and his older brother has high blood pressure. So far this gentleman is overweight but his vitals are great! But, if he doesn't do anything as far as eating better and dropping some weight, his family history my catch up with him. So what do you think his WHY statement should look like.
We can talk more about Identifying Your Why in later articles but I wanted to give you something to think about today. If you are talking about doing something big in 2009, attach a big enough why to it so you can keep on moving toward success.
You will be glad you did!
