Dr Jill Biden - former Second Lady of the United States has been appointed a Patron of the Walk Of America alongside Prince Harry.
As a military mother, she understands the experiences of military families: supporting their service members, feeling incredible pride for their work, and also carrying the fear that comes with this sacrifice. In her role as Second Lady, she brought significant attention to the challenges faced by military families.
Dr Biden commented: “I am honored to join Prince Harry in supporting our wounded veterans and their families around the world. The men and women who serve in our military—along with their families—are some of the strongest, most generous and most courageous people in our nation, and we are proud to help Walking With The Wounded raise awareness of their service, sacrifice and resilience. As a Patron of the Walk Of America, I hope to show that the U.S. stands firmly with our closest allies in the U.K. armed forces and that the brotherhood and sisterhood of service transcends borders.”
