Job Description:
Ledgent is partnering with a company located in the Denver Tech Center seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting in the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payments, and collections.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Provide support for audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Assist in the maintenance of fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial information as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to system enhancements.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
