Navy Global Command and Control - Maritime (GCCS-M) (Electronic Technician)

GDIT is seeking a Navy Global Command and Control - Maritime (GCCS-M) (Electronic Tech to help support the MARMC program in Norfolk, Virginia.

This is an onsite position, and no relocation assistance is provided

Must be a US Citizen

Job Description:

  • Performs highly complex technical functions in support of engineering activities such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment

  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions

  • Directs complex engineering tests to collect design data or assist in general research work

  • Diagnoses and isolates equipment and system malfunctions which fail to respond to standard corrective measures, and makes necessary repairs

  • Participates in the development of electronic equipment

  • Repairs or modifies cables and equipment returned by operational users or by personnel in the associated test and development laboratories

  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have supervisory responsibilities

  • May serve as a team leader

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

  • Candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years specific experience gained in troubleshooting, repair, and assessment of at least one of the following systems:

    • 1. AN/USQ-187 GCCS-M 4.1.1
      2. AN/USQ-172 GCCS-M 4.0

  • While not required, the more experience gained on these systems may be more advantageous to the government.

1. AN/USQ-151 Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT)
2. AN/USQ-152 TBMCS
3. AN/USQ-188 Radiant Mercury
4. AN/USQ-208 Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services - CANES
5. Passive Link Tap (PLT)

Qualifications:

  • US Citizen

  • Secret clearance

  • AA/AS, 4+ years experience or equivalent

  • 4+ years of directly related experien
