Job Description
Maternal-Fetal Medicine Subspecialist and Co-Director, NYU Langone Health’s Advanced Fetal Care Center

NYU Langone Health, a world-class, patient-centered, integrated, academic medical center, is one of the nation's premier centers for excellence in clinical care, biomedical research, and medical education.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Health is seeking a full-time Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialist with expertise in fetal therapy to join our dynamic faculty at our Manhattan campuses. Building on the success of our Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Program, we have recruited an internationally renowned fetal surgeon, and expanded our program into the NYU Langone Health Advanced Fetal Care Center (AFCC). This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a MFM physician leader to play a central role in the continued growth and development of our comprehensive fetal surgery program as we bring fetal surgery to New York City.

The successful candidate will hold an appointment in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and serve as Co-Director of the AFCC, in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues in pediatric surgery, cardiology, neonatology, radiology, and genetics. The position will include approximately 50% Maternal-Fetal Medicine clinical care and 50% fetal therapy and program development, with the proportion of fetal therapy effort expected to increase in parallel with the growth of interventional procedures, research infrastructure, and training programs.

The AFCC Co-Director will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to:

· Lead and expand the clinical and procedural portfolio of fetal therapy services, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex fetal diagnoses.

· Develop and refine clinical pathways and best practices in fetal intervention, multidisciplinary coordination, and perinatal management.

· Drive outreach and program development initiatives to expand the AFCC’s regional referral network and strengthen collaborations across specialties and institutions.

· Engage in clinical and translational research, quality improvement, and outcomes assessment to advance the science and practice of fetal therapy.

· Lead educational initiatives for fellows, residents, and students in fetal therapy and maternal-fetal medicine.

· Provide Maternal-Fetal Medicine care, including ultrasound, outpatient consultation, and inpatient service, integrated within the broader MFM division.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an MFM physician seeking an academic career that combines clinical excellence, innovation, and leadership in a rapidly expanding subspecialty program.

· MD or equivalent, with board certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

· Eligibility for New York State medical licensure.

· Fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal medicine and additional experience in fetal therapy or fetal intervention.

· Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, multidisciplinary collaboration, and clinical program development.
