Job Description
Orthopedic Trauma Faculty Position – NYU Langone Health

The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible orthopedic surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level who has completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship to join the Orthopedic Trauma Service, primarily based at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn. This position will also include time at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.

  • NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn is a 500-bed, Level 1 Trauma Center, currently performing approximately 3,000 orthopedic cases per year, primarily inpatient trauma, total joint arthroplasty (TJA), and spine procedures.
  • Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is a 600-bed, Level 1 hospital in Queens, serving a population of over 500,000. It is the busiest Level 1 trauma center in NYC, managing over 1,000 acute orthopedic trauma cases annually.

Both sites are integral training locations for the department’s internationally recognized residency program. NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn is located on the waterfront in Southwest Brooklyn with convenient access to Manhattan. Jamaica Hospital is in Queens and is easily accessible making it a convenient site for both patients and faculty.


In addition to clinical responsibilities, the position involves collaboration with a seasoned division of 10+ orthopedic traumatologists across multiple NYU Langone Health sites. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to leadership, teaching, research, and mentoring, and be actively engaged in academic activities both locally and nationally through organizations such as AAOS and OTA.



Salary Range: $400,000- $450,000*


*The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
