NSIPS ETL Software Developer | Secret Clearance

The Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) program is seeking an ETL Software Developer to join their analytics development team. This position plays a crucial role in building and maintaining the data pipelines necessary to support our business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

HOW DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources

Collaborate with data architects and senior developers to understand data requirements and implement solutions

Write and optimize complex PL/SQL queries for data transformation and validation.

Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs, identifying and resolving data quality issues as they arise

Implement data quality checks, error handling, and logging within ETL pipelines

Document ETL processes and maintain metadata for data governance

Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

5+ years of advanced PL/SQL experience, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

Advanced understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing principles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to effectively communicate and convey ideas in verbal and written form

Basic understanding of Unix/Linux Shell scripting is a plus

Basic experience with programming languages such as Python or Java are a plus

Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance required.

Location:on site
