Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ambulatory Nurse to join our healthcare team in La Plata, United States. As an Ambulatory Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in an outpatient setting. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a significant impact on patient outcomes.

  • Assess patients' health conditions and provide appropriate nursing care in an ambulatory setting
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Assist with outpatient procedures and treatments as needed
  • Triage patients and prioritize care based on medical needs
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Qualifications


  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ambulatory care nursing
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of outpatient procedures and treatments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required
  • Knowledge of ambulatory care practices, procedures, and healthcare regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in ambulatory nursing
