<span style="font-family: Arial"><h2 style="text-align: center">Coordinator ofMental Health Services</h2><h2 style="text-align: center">DisabilityResources &amp; Educational Services</h2><h3 style="text-align: center">University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign</h3><p style="text-align: center">&nbsp;</p><br><h4>Job Summary</h4>The Coordinator of Mental Health will lead and coordinate the mental health unit at Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) which is responsible for providing individual therapy, support groups, and psychological assessments in conjunction with other mental health staff to support disabled students at the University of Illinois working with DRES. Coordinates the training and supervision of the graduate hourly, practicum/internships for graduate students who may be in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, and related areas. The position leads DRES's ongoing efforts to maintain the highest quality of mental health care resources for disabled students with very diverse backgrounds and identities. <h4>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</h4><p>• Supervise and administer psychological assessment area in DRES to include managing referrals, assessment of instruments and testing instruments, compose final evaluation reports, and data/record keeping, in addition to supervising assessments completed by trainees; provide feedback to supervisees administering assessments.</p><p>• Supervise DRES mental health staff and coordinate the training and supervision of practicum students, predoctoral interns, postdocs, and academic hourly workers.</p><p>• Provide individual counseling/psychotherapy services for a diverse population of disabled students in a multi-culturally competent manner.</p><p>• Provide group counseling/therapy through therapy groups that may include focus on specific mental health issue or need of a particular student group.</p><p>• Review and update policy and procedures as necessary for the mental health unit as required by licensure, training guidelines, and state/federal regulations to maintain the highest standard of care.</p><p>• Participate in outreach, training, and treatment team activities. </p><p>• Participate in various DRES service, education, and research activities as well as division, college, and campus committees. </p><p>• Participate in psychological emergency and trauma response. </p><p>• Other duties as assigned. </p><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><p>• Doctoral degree in Psychology.</p><p>• Counseling experience with students in a post-secondary setting. </p><p>• Experience working with a diverse population. </p><p>• Supervision of licensed counselors and trainees. </p><p>• Conducting psychological assessments. </p><p>• Psychologist license eligible in Illinois. Will be expected to apply within 1-2 months of employment start date. IDFPR has added clinical psychologist to the comprehensive online regulatory environment. <a href="https://idfpr.illinois.gov/core.html">https://idfpr.illinois.gov/core.html</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><h4> Preferred Qualifications</h4><p>• PsyD or PhD in clinical, counseling or school psychology. <br><br>• 2-3 years’ experience counseling students in post-secondary setting. <br><br>• Experience conducting and supervising psychological assessments. <br><br>• Experience working with a very diverse student population<br><br>• Licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois. </p><h4>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h4><p>• Strong clinical skills, assessment, and report writing </p><h4>Appointment Information</h4><p>This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position,appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possibleafter the close of the search.
