The Production Associateis responsible forthe production of components and other biochemical solutions. Sampleresponsibilitiesinclude producing buffers,handlingbothhazardousand non-hazardousmaterial, aliquoting, labeling, capping,andusinglaboratory equipment.

This position reports to the Batch Production Manageras part of theIn-house Manufacturingteamin Waltham, MA and will be an on-site positionMonday Friday, 8:30 AM 5 PM. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare andmanufacture finished goodsandintermediate solutionsaccording to specific formulations outlinedin the ManufacturingBatch Records (MBRs).

  • Maintainproper documentationofallproduction batches.

  • Operate laboratoryequipment such as Biological Safety Cabinets, pipettes, incubators, balances, pH meters, centrifuges, etc.

  • Follow detailed instructions to ensureaccuracy andconsistencyof productsas well ascompliance with QualityAssurancepoliciesandHealth and Safety procedures.

  • Contribute to process improvements and SOP development.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences or at least 2 years of laboratoryexperience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge and practical laboratory experiencewith safely handling both non-hazardous and hazardous chemicals proper storage, use, and disposal according to safety regulations.

  • Ability to follow protocols and instructions with precision.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with a passion for working in the lab environment.

  • Flexible mindset and ability to adapt to shifting priorities and customer demands.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, move or carry containers up to 20 lbs.

  • Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to chemicals and laboratory equipment

It would be a plus if you alsopossesspreviousexperience in:

  • Experiencewith pipettingandinkitcomponentmanufacturing.

  • Knowledgeable inOracle and Microsoft Office applications.

The annual salary range range for this role is 48,000.00 - 79,000.00 USD Annual. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
