Isn’t it interesting that when you’re young, you want to be old. And when you’re old, you want to be young again.
I can’t really help you if you’re looking to grow older… well, that’s not entirely true; don’t exercise, eat fast food, stay stressed, and don’t sleep. That should work. But, this report isn’t about growing older, it’s about becoming younger. If you are looking to regain some of your youth and vitality then I’ve got good news for you!
Did you know that doctors such as Deepak Chopra and David Simon, co-founders of the Chopra Center, believe there are two kinds of ages?
1.
Your calendar age
2.
Your biological age
Knowing the difference between the two can radically change your view of life and the aging process. Your calendar age, is the number of birthdays you’ve had. Most people identify their age with a linear perspective. Their life is viewed by holding out a tape measure (calendar) and measuring the time that has passed from the beginning (their birth) to the marked point (the current moment). Where they are on the tape measure usually dictates how they are suppose to feel, how much pain they should experience, when they can expect a greater chance of disease, etc.
But, Deepak Chopra and other doctors of the same mindset insist that we should let our biological age direct us. Your biological age is determined by your inner clock. It is affected by your perceptions, thoughts, and the way you treat your body.
Haven’t you ever wondered why some young people look old and some older people look really young? Or how some people that are in their late 60’s physically act like their mid-twenties, and some in their late thirties act and feel like a sixty year old?
What makes the difference? Do you have to simply grow old every year and then eventually die? Is aging necessary?
