Look Back In Gratitude, Forward In Expectation.
It Is Good For Us To Look Back On The Journeys
We’ve Taken To Appreciate Where They Have Led
Us.
The Past Has A Way Of Pulling Us Back To Our
Beginnings As We Remember How It Was When We
Were Young.
Though I Certainly Don’t Consider Us As Being Prisoner
To Our Past, But We Do Have To Honor It For How It
Helped To Shape Us.
I Remember It In Gratitude.
We Also Have To Remind Ourselves How Far We’ve Come
And How Much The World Has Changed.
Learning That Most Tough Experiences Eventually Bring
A Harvest Of Blessings.
They Condition Us To Take Better Advantage Of The
Opportunities That Do Come Our Way.
Look Back Over Your Life And In Gratitude And Recall
The Persons And The Experiences That Helped You The
Most.
Then Look To Your Future. We Can’t Predict The Future
But Our Gratitude For The Past Can Help Us Visualize
What The Future Can Become.
Believe That The God Who Has Cared For Us And Given
Us A Future Worthy Of Our Highest Expectations And
Hopes.
Our Pasts Are Behind Us, And We Can Do Nothing To
Alter Them.
Our Futures Are Before Us, And We Can Shape Them.
One Of The Great Deceptions That Oppress Us Is The
Conviction That Our Futures Have Already Been Determined
By Our Pasts.
As You Consider Your Future, Think Of It As An Opportunity
To Make A Positive Difference.
After All, You’ve Spent Your Life Equipping Yourself.
