Many of you know the rock star, Pat Scott, from the film. She was the School Homeless Liaison at Prosser who was featured in the film. We're saddened to learn that she was victim to the recent outrageous layoffs by Chicago Public Schools. Not only will this affect her life, but it will be traumatic for the 80+ students she has worked with each year at school. She is a much needed touchstone for these kids in need and made sure they were in school, had supplies, clothes and food so they could learn in the best way possible despite their huge challenges.
We're in touch with Pat and she is hanging in there and she is committed to finding a way to keep supporting these kids and continuing her life's work. If there are any positions out there in Chicago that can use a dynamic, ferocious mama bear who can move mountains to help kids in need - she's right here!
