We tend to think of children as innocent and carefree, but this idyllic point of view might be putting their lives at risk. The sad reality is that bullying, troubling home life, and mental illness are realities that many children face; these situations can contribute to self-harm down the line.
While suicide is still somewhat a taboo subject, it shouldn’t be. It happens every day, and not just among adults and teenagers, but among children, too. Discussing this difficult topic is the first step to helping prevent and end child suicide.
