WHAT: Cover Georgia Day at the Capitol

WHEN: February 28, 2019

TIME: 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

WHERE: Convene at the Central Presbyterian Church
201 Washington St SW, Tull Fellowship Hall
Atlanta, GA 30303

Join us at Cover Georgia Day at the Capitol to ask our state legislators to put insurance cards in the pockets of more hard-working Georgians! We will begin the morning with a brief informational session to ensure that you feel prepared to confidently advocate to your elected officials. Following that, we will walk to the state Capitol to advocate that our state legislators act on this important issue.

Tentative Agenda:

8:30 am – Breakfast & registration at Central Presbyterian Church (201 Washington St SW, Tull Fellowship Hall)
8:50 am – Opening remarks
9:00 am – Remarks from legislators
9:30 am – Consumer story
9:45 am – How to engage in Medicaid advocacy
10:00 am – Walk to the Georgia State Capitol (less than 1 block away)
10:15 am – Meet your legislators and ask them to close the coverage gap
